Bearcats Finish Tied for Seventh at UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Ludvig Eriksson finished tied for 21st as he led the Lander Men's Golf team to a seventh place finish at the Mizuno Intercollegiate at the Chattahoochee Golf Club. The Bearcats shot a 291 (+3) on the final day to move them into a tie for seventh with Carson-Newman, both schools shooting 871 (+7)

Lincoln Memorial won the tournament shooting 837 (-27) while five Peach Belt schools, including Lander, made up the top-ten teams.

Eriksson carded a four-over 76 on the final day of the tournament putting him a one-over for the week.

Linus Jonsson rebounded from a tough four-over on day one to shoot a two-under 70 in the final round, leading the Bearcats on Tuesday and moving him into a tie for 25th.

Victor Larsson, who finished tied for 41st, shot one-under in the two rounds on day one but a tough front nine in the final round led to a six-over 78 on Tuesday putting him at five-over on the tournament.

Gaston Edburg finished one shot behind Larsson in a tie for 46th as he shot a one-under 71 on the final day, rebounding from a tough seven-over day one.

Edward Rahm rounded out the Bearcat five as he finished tied for 53rd at seven-over in the tournament.

The Bearcats return to action on October 2nd and 3rd as they host the Cateechee Fall Invitational in Hartwell, Ga.
