Martinez, Ga. - Linus Jonsson of men's golf was named the Peach Belt Golfer of the Week on Thursday after tying for third at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. He shares the honor with Georgia Southwestern's Nicolas Escobar who shot the same as Jonsson.

Jonsson shot 212 (69+75+68) for a three-under-par finish on Tuesday, Feb. 14th. This was Jonsson's second honor of the year, first of the Spring. He's currently the 15th ranked golfer in Division II by GolfStat and leads the Peach Belt in stroke average at 70.78. The Bearcats ended up finishing top-five at this tournament.
