Franklin Springs, Ga. – Emmanuel defeated Lander 3-2 Tuesday night, snapping the Bearcats' 19-game winning streak.
The Lions would take the first set 26 24. Lander responded, winning the second set 25-23 and the third set 25-17 to take a 2-1 lead. Emmanuel edged Lander 25-22 in the fourth and 15-10 in the fifth set to win.
Katie Miller led the Bearcats with 24 kills and 16 digs. Lauren Dow dished out a career-high 50 assists, 16 digs and nine blocks. Olivia Dow finished with 17 kills, while Blondie Penaflor had eight kills and seven blocks.
