GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Lander Field Hockey Team fell to the Limestone Saints on Tuesday evening by a score of 3-0.
In the first half the teams were fairly even as both sides were able to get off two shots a piece in the first 30 minutes of action.
Frederique Van Der Houwen led the Bearcats with two shots, one on goal, in her debut on the season.
The Saints broke the ice with two goals in the third quarter and put the game away with a third goal with about ten minutes to go.Â
Lander is back in action this Saturday as they travel up Highway 34 to take on the tenth-ranked Newberry Wolves at Setzler Field. That game is scheduled to start at noon.Â
