Gainesville, Ga. - In the second event of Fall competition, Lander took home sixth place at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Bearcats shot 871 (291+290+290) only three shots behind a top-five finish.
The top three finishers didn't change from Monday's first two rounds. Anderson was the first-place team, shooting 846 and West Florida came in second scoring 848. The hosts of North Georgia took home third with an 856 score.
Linus Jonsson finished in seventh, shooting five-under-par totaling a score of 211 after having his best round on Tuesday shooting 68. Gaston Edberg tied for 16th at even par on every round. Victor Larsson shot four-over-par and tied for 29th while Jake Stoneham and Edward Rahm both finished tied for 63rd at nine-over-par. Bryce Wittmer, Lander's individual competitor for this tournament, tied for 43rd with a six-over-par performance.
Men's golf doesn't return to the course again until October 10-11th for the Queens Fall Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
