HICKORY, N.C. - Lander pounded out 15 hits and scored 10 runs to take down Lenoir-Rhyne 10-4 in game two of their non conference doubleheader to earn a split. The Bears scored six runs in their final two at bats to win game one 8-5.

Trailing 2-0, Bridgett Tierney reached on an infield single with one out. Shannon Antonini then doubled to right center field to put runners at second and third. A single by Barbara Cook scored Tierney and a sacrifice fly by Abbie Behe scored Antonini to tie the game at two. |

With two outs, Antonini singled to center and then Cook blasted a home run to left field to make it a 4-4 game. . |

After the Bears scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth, the Bearcats would load the bases, with Eliza Gonzalez and Haven Pesce drawing walks and Naya Jones being hit by a pitch. Pinch hitter Logan Coward scored pinch runner Kyrah Phelix and cutting the deficit to 8-5. Lander could not get any more runs as the Bears held on for the win. |

Trailing 3-0, Barbara Cook drew a leadoff walk and Abbie Behe would single up the middle. Eliza Gonzalez then singled to left field and the runners advanced on an error, allowing Cook to score the first run of the game for Lander. A single by Haven Pesce would score Behe and make it a one run game. Gracie Derrick reach on the second Bear error of the inning to score Gonzalez and tie the game at three. After a ground out by Sage Jones put runners at second and third, back to back infield singles by Naya Jones and Shannon Antonini gave Lander a 5-3 lead. |

With two outs and no one on, Pesce doubled to right field and then scored on a single by Lauren Collie to give the Bearcats a three run lead. |

Cook led off with a single, Behe then reached on a bunt single and Gonzalez reached on an error to load the bases. Pesce then blasted a grand slam to left to put Lander in double figures. |
