Angeli Earns D2CCA First Team All-Southeast Region Honors

GREENWOOD - Senior infielder Bella Angeli of the Lander University softball team earned First Team Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region honors as a utility player, the organization announced recently.

Angeli earns her first career all-region selection after turning in one of the top offensive seasons for the Bearcats in 2026 while splitting time between shortstop and third base.

The senior started 55 of 56 games for Lander and posted a .363 batting average with a 1.111 OPS. Angeli totaled 58 hits, including 14 doubles, four triples, and eight home runs while driving in 46 runs and scoring 41 times. She also drew 31 walks and finished the season with a .461 on-base percentage and a .650 slugging percentage.

Angeli was also named Peach Belt Conference Second Team All-Conference At-Large after helping lead the Bearcats to one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by the program's second NCAA Tournament appearance, first NCAA Tournament opening-round victory, and a trip to the NCAA Southeast Regional final, just one win shy of a Super Regional berth. 

Angeli and the Bearcats finished the season with a 35-21 overall record.
