Lander takes two one-run games from Palm Beach Atlantic

GREENWOOD - Lander squeezed by Palm Beach Atlantic twice to sweep the Sailfish in non-conference softball action. The Bearcats won game one 1-0 and won game two 2-1 in eight innings.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
BOT 1	Sage Jones led off with a single up the middle and proceeded to steal second. She moved to third on a ground out by Bridgett Tierney. Shannon Antonini beat out a bunt to score Jones and give the Bearcats the lead.
TOP 7	Rebecca Boesen dominated the Sailfish for six innings, allowing just one hit. Palm Beach Atlantic would get the first two runners on base in the seventh, and Lander would bring in Olivia Veidt. She got two ground outs and a strike out to end the game and get the save.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
BOT 4	Neither team could get on the scoreboard for the first three and a half innings. With one out in the fourth, Antonini picked up her second bunt single of the day. She then stole second and third and with two outs, Abbie Behe singled back up the middle to score Antonini and give Lander the lead.
TOP 5	The Sailfish tied the game up with a run in the top half of the fifth.
BOT 8	Antonini led off the inning with a sacrifice bunt to move Bridgett Tierney to third base. Barbara Cook then lifted a sacrifice fly to center field and the through was not in time as Tierney scored the winning run.
