AIKEN, S.C. - Having not played a game in six days, Lander came out and swept a double header from USC Aiken to clinch a series victory for the Bearcats in their second Peach Belt series.  The Bearcats scored four unanswered runs in game one to win 4-3 and shut out the Pacers 9-0 in five innings in game two.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
BOT 1	The Pacers took the early lead on a two-run home run by Emily Ayers.
BOT 2	USC Aiken added to their lead with an RBI single by Taylor Butts to make it a 3-0 game.
TOP 3	Shannon Antonini would single to center field with two outs, and Barbara Cook blasted a home run to center field to cut the Bearcat deficit to one run.
TOP 4	Olivia Veidt led off with a double to right field.  Haven Pesce laid down a sacrifice bunt to move pinch-runner Regan Lunsford to third base.  A single by Naya Jones through the right side scored Lunsford and tied the game at three.  Following a single by Sage Jones, Bridgett Tierney singled to center, scoring Naya Jones and giving the Bearcats the 4-3 lead that they would not relinquish.
BOT 7	Liz Gollin pitched a scoreless inning to secure the win for the Bearcats.
KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
TOP 1	Sage Jones led the game off with a single to center field and moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Bridgett Tierney.  Shannon Antonini followed with a single to center, scoring Jones and giving Lander a 1-0 lead.
TOP 3	With one out, Jones would double to left field.  After an infield hit by Antonini put runners at the corners with two outs, Barbara Cook singled to right field to score Jones and make it a two-run game.  Abbie Behe followed with a single to left that scored Antonini, and then Olivia Veidt hit a three-run home run to left field to cap a five-run inning and give the Bearcats a 6-0 lead.
TOP 5	Cook led off the inning with a home run to left.  Veidt then singled to left field, and Haven Pesce followed with a two-run home run to give Lander a nine-run lead.
BOT 5	Rebecca Boesen pitched a scoreless bottom half of the inning to end the game and give her the complete-game shutout.
