#13 Lander hosts Limestone Saturday

GREENWOOD -  The #13 Lander men's tennis team returns home to take on Limestone in nonconference action tomorrow at 2:00 PM at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

  • The Bearcats come into the match looking to extend their dominance over the Saints. Lander is currently 14-0 against Limestone.
  • Last time out, Lander defeated Young Harris 6-1 to pick up their first Peach Belt win of the season.  
  • Matthew De Groot and Markus Sorensen won their number one double's match 6-4. In singles action, Thomas De Negri won in three sets 6-0, 4-6, 6-4, Mouad Naoui won 1-6, 6-3, 6-1, Emilien Baradel won 3-6, 7-6, 7-6 . De Groot, Hugo Regner, and Alexandre Crepy won their matches in straight sets to seal the victory for the Bearcats. 
  • Baradel is 10-1 in singles play to lead Lander, while Regner and Crepy are second on the team with seven wins. The team of Crepy and De Negri lead the Bearcats with seven doubles wins, while De Groot and Sorensen have six wins.
