STORYLINES

• In a battle of top three reams in the Southeast region on Saturday, Lander defeated Georgia Southwestern 65-53.
• Makaila Cange scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Bearcats while recording her 1,000th career point. Miriam Recarte recorded a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds with six blocked shots. Vashae Rideout added 14 points and a team-leading five assists.      
• Lander leads the Peach Belt and is fifth in NCAA Division II in assists per game (18.0). They are also first in the PBC and fifth in the country in scoring margin (20.1). The Bearcats lead the PBC in assist-turnover ratio (1.09), assists (395), field-goal percentage (44.7), and scoring offense (79.2). They are also second in blocked shots per game (4.5) and rebound margin (7.1).
• Cange currently leads the PBC and is second in the country in field-goal percentage (68.1), first in the conference, and ninth in Division II in offensive rebounds per game (4.7). She is also first in the conference in points per game (20.0) and free throws made (111). She is second in rebounds per game (10.1) and double-doubles (14).
• Miriam Recarte is first in the conference and is 3rd nationally in blocked shots per game (3.09), and is second in blocked shots (68).
• The Bearcats have won 12 in a row against the Mountain Lions since losing the series' first two games.  
• Last time out, Young Harris defeated USC Aiken 61-44 on Saturday.
