STORYLINES
- The Bearcats are coming off a 19-5 thrashing of Lincoln Memorial at home on February 19.
- 15 different Bearcats scored against the Railsplitters. Adam Mather led the way with three goals and three assists.
- Mather was recently named the PBC Player of The Week. He led the Bearcats in scoring this past week, as he tailed six goals against Emmanuel and Lincoln Memorial. Mather had three goals in each game while also adding five assists, three ground balls and three caused turnovers. He also put 8-of-11 shots on target.
- The Bearcats have scored 73 goals while only allowing 29 in their current four-game winning streak to begin the season.
- Carter Wilcox still leads the Bearcats in scoring with 13 goals while Mather is close behind with 10. Mather is the leader in assists with eight and is tied in points with Wilcox with 18.
- Jake Watson has picked up a team-high 13 ground balls this season. Blake Moore is second with nine. Blake Sterling and James Linn are the leaders in caused turnovers with four.
- Liam Mackay has started all four games for the Bearcats this season while holding a 4-0 record. He's made 26 saves in 148 minutes of action this season.
- Wilcox currently leads the PBC in total goals (13) and goals per game (3.25). Mather is tied for third in total goals (10) and is third in goals per game (2.50).
- Mather is the conference's leader in assists per game (2.0) and is tied for first in total assists (8).
- Wilcox, Mather and Drew Wilson are second, third and fourth in points per game in the PBC.
- The Bearcats lead the PBC in multiple categories this season. The Blue and Gold are setting the place for total goals (73), goals allowed (29), scoring margin (+11), ground balls (165), goals per game (18.25), assists per game (9.50), points per game (27.75), shots on goal per game (33.75), save percentage (.586), goals-against average 7.25.
- On the national stage, Lander is fifth in the country in total assists (38), seventh in assists per game (9.5), fifth in caused turnovers (14.25), fourth in total ground balls (165), third in points (111), fifth in points per game (27.75), seventh in scoring defense (7.25), fourth in scoring margin (+11), fourth in scoring offense (18.25).
- Coker comes into this contest 0-3 overall.
- The Cobras have had a tough schedule to begin the year. They first lost to No. 10 Mount Olive 11-7 to begin the season before losing to Colorado Mesa 21-5 and most recently North Greenville 14-4.
- This will be the first time these two schools have met in men's lacrosse.
- Coker was picked to finish eighth in the SAC in the preseason poll.
- Three players are currently tied for the most goals with three each while two players are tied for the most assists with three as well. Cal Gibson and Henry Hasket are tied for the most points with six each,
- Nathan Allan and Ethan Hofert lead the Cobras in ground balls with 14 each, four Cobras are tied for the team-high in caused turnovers with four each,
- Hofert had played and started all three games for the Cobras this season. He's played 153 minutes, making 45 saves and going 0-3.
- Coker travels to Barton next on February 26 while Lander hits the road to battle North Greenville on March 5.
