GREENWOOD, S.C. - The 7th ranked Lander women's basketball team will return home Wednesday as they host Young Harris at noon in their annual Greenwood District 50 Education game. There will be approximately 600 eighth-graders from Brewer, Northside, and Westview Middle Schools. Admission to the game is free and is open to the public.

STORYLINES
- Playing for the first time in a week, Lander defeated Flagler 77-63 Saturday afternoon.
- Trailing Flagler 21-15 after the first quarter, the fifth-ranked Bearcats outscored the Saints 24-8 in the second quarter to take a ten-point halftime lead and never looked back.
- Makaila Cangé led a group of four Bearcats in double figures, scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing 18 rebounds to record her 10th double-double of the season. Amiaya Melvins added 15 points and eight rebounds, and Miriam Recarte scored 14 points and had three blocks. Aniaya Jester finished with 12 points and five assists, while Sarah Crews also had five assists.
- Lander leads the Peach Belt and is second in NCAA Division II in assists per game (18.9). They are also first in the conference and fourth in the country in scoring offense (82.9), first in the PBC and eighth in scoring margin (20.0). The Bearcats lead the PBC in assist-turnover ratio (1.15), field-goal percentage (46.3), offensive rebounds per game (15.7), and rebounds per game (42.75). They are also second in assists (303), blocked shots per game (4.1), and rebound margin (6.8).
- Cange currently leads the PBC and is second in the country in field-goal percentage (68.2), first in the conference. She is also second in the conference and eighth in Division II in points per game (21.2). Fifth in Division II in offensive rebounds per game (4.9), first in the PBC and 10th nationally in double-doubles (10), and free-throws made (91).
- Miriam Recarte is second in the conference and is 5th nationally in blocked shots per game (2.75), second in the PBC, and 10th in the country in blocked shots (44).
- Zamiya Passmore leads the PBC and ranks fourth in Division II (21.8).
- After losing their first two games to Young Harris, the Bearcats have won 11 in a row against the Mountain Lions.
