KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Lander men's golf team finished its first tournament of the fall season with a fifth place finish at the Kiawah Island Invitational while
Maxime Legros finished tied for third overall
Erskine finished first with a 33-under-par performance while West Georgia and USC Aiken both tied for second with a 30-under-par tournament.
Lander finished tied for fifth with Belmont Abbey after shooting 13-under-par for the tournament.
Legros finished tied for third with a nine-under-par tournament. He led all Peach Belt Conference golfers at the tournament.
Hugo Lari was next for the Bearcats with a tie for 23
rd place. Lari shot three-under-par for the two-day tournament.
Chris Fortenberry finished tied for 29
th after shooting two-under-par,
Gabe Kelly tied for 48
th after he shot three-over-par while
Linus Jonsson finished tied for 60
th after shooting seven-over-par.
The Bearcats return to action with the North Georgia Fall Invitational on September 20.
