Eatonton, GA – The Lander men's golf team finished in eighth place to conclude action at the Bobcat Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Georgia College took home first place after shooting seven-over-par as a team along with a team score of 847. USC Aiken finished second after shooting eight-over-par while Georgia Southwestern took third with a 17-over-par tournament. Lander finished the tournament shooting 37-over-par.
Junior Maxime Legros finished first among the Bearcats with a tie for fourth place after a one-under-par tournament performance. Sophomore Valentin Peugnet finished tied for 27th after shooting nine-over-par, freshman Linus Jonsson finished in 32nd place after shooting 10-over-par, sophomore Chris Fortenberry finished in 56th place after shooting 22-over-par while redshirt junior Cameron Bell finished in 65th place after shooting 33-over-par.
Lander concludes its regular season next week as the Bearcats travel to Columbus, Ga., to compete in the Cougar Invitational starting March 29.
