GREENWOOD – The No. 6-ranked Lander men's tennis team continued its unbeaten start with a 7-0 victory over Young Harris at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
Lander (7-0) took the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 1 from Adam Elliget and Hugo Regner and a 6-2 victory from Tommaso Rossin and Matthew De Groot at the No. 2 slot. Guillaume Tattevin and Kim Oshiro also won 6-3 at No. 3.
Tattevin put the Bearcats up 2-0 over the Mountain Lions (3-5) with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph on court one and Jamieson Nathan followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5. Lander clinched the victory when Elliget delivered a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot.
Rossin won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6, Thomas De Negri earned a 6-3, 6-2 win on court three , and Mikael Erler ended the day at No. 4 with a 7-5, 6-1 win.
Lander steps out of Peach Belt Conference play on Tuesday when the Bearcats host Limestone at 2:30 p.m.
