STORYLINES

• After spending the month of November on the road, Lander will finally play in front of a home crowd today.
• Excluding the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season, this was the first time since 2016-17 the Bearcats didn't play at home in November when their home opener was December 1st against Erskine College.  
• The Bearcats are outscoring their opponents by 20.7 points in their last three games.  
• Last weekend Lander dominated the Belmont Abbey Classic, defeating Johnson C. Smith and Belmont Abby.
• Zamiya Passmore joined the 1,000 career point club in the win over Belmont Abbey.
• In the two wins, Makaila Cangé averaged 23 points and nine rebounds while shooting 76.9% from the field to earn her second PBC Player of the Week award in the first three weeks of the season.
• Lander leads the Peach Belt in blocked shots per game (4.3), field-goal percentage (47.2), rebound margin (7.2), and scoring offense (80.3).
• Cangé currently leads the PBC and is second in Division II in double-doubles (5), and leads the conference and is seventh in the country in field-goal percentage (65.3) and offensive rebounds per game (5.3).
• Miriam Recarte leads the Peach Belt and is seventh in the country in blocked shots (17), and leads the conference and is eighth in blocked shots per game (2.83).
• The Bearcats are dominating down low so far, averaging 40 points in the paint through six games.
• Recarte is also 11 blocks away from 200 for her career. 
• Last time out, the Wasps lost to Alice & Lloyd 69-58.
