INNISBROOK, Fla. - Competing in a tournament that featured 11 teams ranked in the top-25 and five more receiving votes, the Bearcats shot a final round score of 294 to finish 16-over to win the Copperhead Championship by six strokes.
Heading into the final round, Lander trailed Saint Leo by three strokes, but the Bearcats were able to erase that lead with the Lions shooting 303 on Tuesday.
Maxime Legros and Hugo Lari each had top-five finishes for Lander. Legros shot a 75 on Tuesday to finish at even-par with a score of 213. Lari shot one-under today to finish tied for fifth at two-over-par with a score of 215.
Linus Jonsson moved up five spots on Tuesday to finish tied for 13th with a score of 219 after shooting 73 in the final round. Chris Fortenberry shot a 76 and finished with 223 to finish tied for 33rd, and Gaston Edberg shot a three-round score of 234 to finish 79th. Connor Barker played as an individual and shot a final score of 225 to finish tied for 42nd.
