Men's golf set to open fall season at Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Lander men's golf team begins the 2019-20 campaign at the Kiawah Island Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

STORYLINES

Senior and 2019 Second-Team All-Peach Belt Conference member Jon Parker leads the Bearcats this season. Parker appeared in 10 tournaments last season and led the team with a stroke average of 73.58.
The Bearcats will have 10 returning golfers this year.
Tomorrow will mark the Lander debut for two newcomers for the Bearcats. Freshmen Valentin Peugnet and Chris Fortenberry are both in the starting lineup for the tournament.
The tournament opens tomorrow Monday, Sept. 15 at Osprey Point Golf Course with 18 holes. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with 18 holes.
The Osprey Point Golf Course is a par-72 course playing at 6902 yards.
