No. 7 Lander handles North Greenville, 6-1

GREENWOOD – The No. 7-ranked Lander men's tennis team extended its winning streak to three with a 6-1 victory over North Greenville on Wednesday afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center. 

Lander (14-3) dispatched the Crusaders (3-13) on all three courts in doubles play. Axel Cronje and Adam Elliget opened the match with a 6-2 win at No. 1 and Ozan Cildir and Luis Salcedo clinched the day's first point at No. 3, winning 6-3. Eirik Groner and Philippe Courteau followed with a 6-2 win at the No. 2 spot.

Elliget put the Bearcats up 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory on court five in singles action, followed by Cildir's 6-0, 6-1 performance at No. 1. Aly Zaghloul sealed the win on court three, winning 6-2, 6-1. After North Greenville took a win at the No. 2 spot for its lone point of the match, Liam Roos earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 and Courteau ended the day's scoring with a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 4. 

The Bearcats return to action on Friday, hosting Belmont Abbey.
