GREENWOOD – The No. 3-ranked Lander men's tennis team pushed its winning streak to 12 matches with a 9-0 win over Salem Internation on Senior Day at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bearcats (17-2) picked up their 10th non-conference win of the season and their first ever over the Tigers (7-13).
For the fifth straight match, Lander swept doubles action, including an 8-1 win from Eirik Groner and Ozan Cildir at the No. 2 spot. In singles play, Omar El-Moslemany and Tommaso Rossin posted 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and 5, while senior David Korsten earned a 6-1, 6-7, 14-12 victory at No. 2.
Lander returns to PBC action on Tuesday in its regular-season finale at home against Georgia College at 2:30.
