No. 16 Lander finishes fourth at Peach Belt Conference Championship

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 16-ranked Lander men's golf team finished fourth at the Peach Belt Conference Championship, the second-best finish in program history, on Sunday at the Slammer & Squire Course.

The Bearcats entered the day tied for fourth place with host Flagler at the par-72, 6-939-yard layout. Lander posted a closing 10-over 298 to finish with a 32-over-par total of 896 to take sole possession of fourth. USC Aiken claimed its second consecutive title with a 14-under 850. The Pacers' Johnson Holliday earned individual medalist honors, finishing with an 8-under 208 for the weekend. 

Lander's Michael Brodie finished the tournament in 11th place, while Conor Richards carded an even-par 72 on Sunday to move into a tie for 12th place.

Jon Parker finished tied for 23rd, Garrett Atkinson eared a 31st-place finish and James Bartlett rounded out the Bearcat lineup in 39th place.

Lander now has five top-five finishes in the program's history at the PBC Championship.
