VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 8-ranked Lander men's tennis team earned its biggest win of the season on Monday as the Bearcats upset previously unbeaten No. 2 Barry, 5-2.
The Bearcats (8-2) swept all three doubles points, the first time Barry had been swept in doubles all season, and sealed the win with a 6-3, 6-4 victory from Eirik Groner at No. 2 singles. Ozan Cildir also earned a point at No. 4 singles.
Lander's win snapped a 16-match regular season winning streak for Barry.
The Bearcats step back into PBC play on Tuesday with a match at Young Harris.
