GREENWOOD – The No. 19-ranked Lander men's golf team finished seventh at the 9th annual Bearcat Classic at the par-72, 6,800-yard Greenwood Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Young Harris claimed the tournament title with a 14-under 850. Lincoln Memorial finished 17 strokes back, tallying a 3-over 867 for second place. Georgia Southwestern finished third with a 6-over 870.
Valter Andersson of Young harris earned medalist honors with a 7-under 209.
Jon Parker led the Bearcats with a 1-under 215, finishing in a tie for 13th. Conor Richards tied for 20th with a 218 for the tournament. Michael Brodie tied for 27th at 220, James Bartlett tied for 56th at 227 and Chris Kendall shot a 236 to tie for 92nd.
Individually, Garrett Atkinson finished tied for 82nd with a 233, Roberto Garagorri tied for 92nds with a 236 and Braydon Evans carded a 256 to finish 101st.
