FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – The No. 17-ranked Lander men's golf team will get its spring slate underway on Monday when it begins play at the Spring Kickoff Invitational at the Fleming Island Golf Club.

STORYLINES:

• The Bearcats will be one of 17 teams in action at the par-71, 6,633-yard layout. The 54-hole event will consist of 36 holes on Monday and a final round on Tuesday. 

• Lander registered a pair of top-five finishes in the fall at the UNG Fall Invitational and the Copperhead Championship. 

• Sophomore Conor Richards has placed in the top-five of Lander's last three events. 

• Richards, James Bartlett and Jon Parker each carded rounds of 68 or lower during the fall. 

• The Bearcats finished seventh in their last outing of the fall, the McDonough Cup.

• Lander tied for fifth last season at the Spring Kickoff Invitational, placing three players in the top-20.
