Box Score GREENWOOD – Ty'hesha Reynolds scored 37 points and climbed into third place on Lander's career scoring list, leading the Bearcats to a crucial 88-72 Peach Belt Conference victory over Augusta University Wednesday night at Horne Arena.
Lander earned its fifth consecutive win, improving to 15-5 overall and 8-3 in the Peach Belt. The Bearcats won their fourth straight league game, staying ahead of UNC Pembroke (9-4) for first place in the PBC East. Pembroke rallied late to beat Flagler Wednesday.
After a road game at Flagler in St. Augustine, Fla., Saturday, Lander hosts Pembroke in an Eastern Division showdown next Monday night.
The Jaguars fell to 10-9 overall, 5-8 in the PBC.
The Bearcats have won six straight against Augusta.

O'Conner's basket off Lovett's steal cut the Jaguar deficit to 48-41 in the opening minute of the third period. That was as close as the game would get.
The lead was back at 14 when Lander's Tabitha Dailey grabbed an offensive rebound, made the shot off the glass, was fouled, and completed a three-point play for a 58-44 lead at the 5:24 mark.
Johnson followed with a layup about a minute later as the Bearcats had their first 16-point advantage at 60-44.
