Reynolds scored seven points, McKenith added six points, Langford contributed five points, and Johnson scored twice. Langford and Reynolds each had 3s, and McKenith had a steal and layup during the run. Clayton State went eight minutes without scoring. Lander led 26-11 going into the second period.

Reynolds hit another 3 for a 32-14 lead and the Bearcats went up by 20 points, 37-17, on Victoria Baldwin's free throw just inside six minutes left until halftime.

The Lakers used a 16-6 run to pull within 43-33 in the final seconds of the first half. But Reynolds hit a 3 at the buzzer to give Lander a 46-33 advantage at the intermission.

The Bearcats increased their lead to 57-39 with 6:33 left in the third quarter on Jessica Harris's 3.

Harris's bounce pass to Johnson for a layup was part of a 6-0 run as Lander's lead grew to 66-42 with 3:17 to go in the third. Reynolds made her fifth 3, giving the Bearcats a 69-45 advantage at the two-minute mark.
