ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Michal Pospisil tied for third place individually and led the Lander men's golf team to a share of fourth place out of 17 teams Tuesday in the two-day, three-round Jay Jennison Memorial hosted by Flagler College at the par-72 Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
Pospisil, a senior from Unhost, Czech Republic, shot rounds of 68, 71, 71 and tied with West Florida's Chandler Blanchet at 6-under-par 210. Belmont Abbey's Nick Stafford (68-69-70) earned medalist honors with a 9-under-par 207.
West Florida won the team title with a low 854 and was followed by: 2. Barry 862, 3. Belmont Abbey 869, T-4. Lander 874, T-4. Newberry 874, T-4. Rollins 874, T-7. Keiser 877, T-7. In addition to Pospisil, Lander's Michael Brodie (77-72-73) and Conor Richards (72-74-76) tied for 37th at 222, Jon Parker (77-73-76) tied for 51st with 223, and James Bartlett (71-79-82) tied for 71st at 232.
