TIGERVILLE - The fifth-ranked Lander men's tennis team ended the regular season Wednesday afternoon when the Bearcats posted their eighth shut out of the season in downing North Greenville, 9-0, at the Vance Tennis Complex.
Lander will enter the Peach Belt Conference tournament (April 22-24) with a 16-3 record, while North Greenville drops to 6-9.
In singles, No. 1 Chris Devoize (LU) def. Sjors van Eck (NGU) 6-1, 6-0; No. 2 Marc Hofer (LU) def. Sergio Araujo (NGU) 6-4, 6-2; No. 3 Loic Minery (LU) def. Jose Gomez (NGU) 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 Alexandre Springer (LU) def. Alejandro Torre (NGU) 6-0, 6-1; No. 5 Charles Baron (LU) def. Marcelo Yshikawa (NGU) 6-0, 6-0; and No. 6 Liam Roos (LU) def. Edmundo Torres (NGU) 6-2, 0-6, 10-8.
