GREENWOOD - The nationally fifth-ranked Lander men's tennis team swept the doubles competition then claimed five of six singles matches to down USC Aiken, 8-1, in a Peach Belt Conference match Sunday at The Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the PBC. USCA drops to 8-4, 3-3.

In singles, No. 1 Chris Devoize (LU) def. Julien Tan (USCA) 6-3, 6-1; No. 2 Loic Minery (LU) def. Ettore Damiani (USCA) 6-2, 6-1; No. 3 Mathias Degardin (USCA) def. David Korsten (LU) 7-5, 5-7, 10-5; No. 4 Ozan Cildir (LU) def. Clement Raymond (USCA) 7-6, 6-2; No. 5 Alexandre Springer (LU) def. Alejandro Andino (USCA) 6-1, 6-1; and No. 6 Paul Arslanian (LU) def. Hunter Lathrop (USCA) 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.

In doubles, No. 1 Chris Devoize/David Korsten (LU) def. Julien Tan/Ettore Damiani (USCA) 8-2; No. 2 Loic Minery/Ozan Cildir (LU) def. Mathias Degardin/Clement Raymond (USCA) 8-2; and No. 3 Alexander Regner/Charles Baron (LU) def. Hunter Lathrop/Alejandro Andino (USCA) 9-8.

The Bearcats will next travel to Georgia College for a PBC match at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30.
