Pugh, Jayaprakash Earn First Team All-Peach Belt Conference Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference announced its 2026 men's tennis all-conference postseason awards, with Lander's Harry Pugh and Brendan Jayaprakash earning First Team honors.

Pugh was named First Team All-PBC in singles for the second consecutive season, becoming a back-to-back selection after also earning the honor as a freshman in 2025, when he was named the conference's Freshman of the Year. The sophomore has continued his standout play this season, posting a 15-1 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in conference action. Competing at the No. 1 position, Pugh has been dominant throughout the spring, entering the final match of the regular season unbeaten before finishing 14-1, with his lone loss coming to this year's PBC Player of the Year. He also recorded a 4-1 mark against nationally ranked opponents and is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation in singles.

In doubles, Pugh and Jayaprakash earned First Team All-PBC honors after being named Second Team All-Conference a season ago. The duo has been one of the top pairs in the region and nation, compiling a 9-1 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in conference play. The tandem enters the postseason riding a three-match winning streak and has gone 8-1 over its last nine matches. Pugh and Jayaprakash are currently ranked No. 15 nationally in doubles.

Lander opens play at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Friday, April 24, in Columbus, Ga., facing No. 5 seed Middle Georgia in the quarterfinals. First serve is set for 3 p.m. at the Walden Tennis Center.
