ORANGE PARK, Fla. - The Lander men's golf team is in fifth place of 17 teams Monday after the first day of the two-day, three-round Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, hosted by Lincoln Memorial University at the par-71, 6,677-yard Fleming Island Plantation.

The third and final round will be played Tuesday.

Lander's Michal Pospisil (71-71) is tied for 10th place at even-par 142, Michael Brodie (70-74) is 16th at 144, Jordan Ainley (74-74) is 30th at 148, and Chris Kendall (76-76) and James Bartlett (72-80) are 56th at 152.

Armstrong State is the first-day team leader after shooting rounds of 284-288 for a 572 total. The Pirates are followed by: 2. Carson-Newman and Palm Beach Atlantic 575, 4. North Greenville 578, 5.
