Kendall ties for second, leads LU golfers to fourth place

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Chris Kendall tied for second place individually and led the Lander men's golf team to a fourth place finish of 15 teams Tuesday in the two-day, three-round Jay Jennison Memorial hosted by Flagler College at the par-72 Slammer & Squire Golf Course.

Kendall, a freshman from Cumbria, England, shot rounds of 69, 71, 71 and tied with Mount Olive's Brady Hollenbacher and Georgia College's David Sullivan at 5-under-par 211. West Florida's Henry Westmoreland (71-70-66) earned medalist honors with a 9-under-par 207.

West Florida won the team title with a low 852 and was followed by: 2. Flagler 859, 3. Rollins 869, 4. Lander 871, 5. Young Harris 874, 6. Mount Olive 875, 7. Georgia College 881, 8. Erskine 885, 9. Tampa 886, 10. Armstrong State 888, 11. Wilmington 895, 12. Eckerd 912, 13. Palm Beach Atlantic 918, 14. North Georgia 920, and 15. Embry-Riddle 932.

In addition to Kendall, Lander's Michal Pospisil (69-75-74) tied for 17th at 218, Michael Brodie (72-73-78) finished 34th with 223, James Bartlett (73-77-74) tied for 35th at 224, and Jordan Ainley (74-81-73) tied for 53rd at 228.
