GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Led by Michal Pospisil's fourth-place finish, the Lander men's golf team tied for sixth place of 13 teams Tuesday at the two-day, three-round The Trojan Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Olive at the par-72, 6,875-yard Walnut Creek Country Club.
Limestone won the team title with a low 862 and was followed by: 2. UNC Pembroke 870, 3. Newberry 873, 4. Barton and King 891, 6. Lander and Queens 892, 8. Coker 896, 9. Mount Olive 898, 10. Mount Olive "B" 917, 11. Cape Fear 924, 12. Chowan 963, and 13. Wake Tech 982.
Individually for Lander, Pospisil shot rounds of 75-69-72 for an even-par 216, while Neal Todd (72-76-74) tied for 16th with 222, James Bartlett (76-76-76) tied for 41st with 228, Jordan Ainley (83-75-77) tied for 53rd with 235, and Carlos Solis (74-89-82) finished 61st with 245.
