Box Score MORROW, Ga. - The Clayton State women's basketball team placed four players in double figures Thursday night and defeated Lander, 82-61, in a Peach Belt Conference game.
The Lady Lakers improve to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 7-3, 1-1.
Ty'Hesha Reynolds led the Lander attack with a game-high 17 points, while Breshay Johnson added 13 points and seven rebounds.
Andrea Benford led Clayton State with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Kenisha Jones-Barrett and Jessica Covington added 12 points each, and Kayla Pryce 10.
Clayton State, which led Lander, 39-35, at halftime, won the battle of the boards, 47-39.
The Lady Bearcats connected on 23-of-54 floor shots for 42.6 percent, and made 15-of-24 free throws for 62.5 percent.
The Lady Lakers were 32-of-80 from the field for 40 percent, including 5-of-22 threes (22.7 percent) and 13-of-15 foul shots (86.7 percent).
Lander will next play at Georgia Southwestern in a PBC contest at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, in Americus, Ga.
