DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Lander men's golf team finished in ninth place of 17 teams Tuesday at the two-day, three-round North Georgia Fall Invitational hosted by the University of North Georgia at the par-72, 6,967-yard Achasta Golf Club.
Lee University held on to claim the overall team title with a 28-under-par 836 and was followed by 2. Carson-Newman 840, 3. West Georgia 847, 4. Georgia Southwestern 849, 5. Young Harris 860, 6. Columbus State 863, 7. Newberry 868, 8. Montevallo 871, 9. Lander 872, 10. Clayton State 879, 11. Palm Beach Atlantic 883, 12. Georgia College 888, 13. Shorter 904, 14. Coker and North Georgia 906, 16. West Alabama 908, and 17. Catawba 909.
Individually for Lander, Michal Pospisil (72-72-71) led the Bearcats with a 1-under-par 215 and finished tied for 19th, Chris Kendall (70-76-74) tied for 38th at 220, Jordan Ainley (72-71-79) and Michael Brodie (77-76-69) tied for 47th at 222, and James Bartlett (79-73-75) tied for 65th with 227.
