MT. GILEAD, N.C. - Lander's James Bartlett (68-73) shot a three-under-par 141 to claim medalist honors and lead the Bearcats to the team title Tuesday at the two-day, two-round Pfeiffer Invitational held at The Tillery Tradition Country Club.

The Bearcats' Jordan Ainley (70-72) was one stroke behind Bartlett at 142 and tied with Pfeiffer's Zach Weaver (69-73) for second place. Michal Pospisil (72-73) tied for fourth at 145, Michael Brodie (73-79) tied for 11th at 152, and Chris Kendall (78-77) finished 15th with 155.

Lander shot rounds of 283 and 295 finished with 578, 18 strokes ahead of second place Pfeiffer (596). Belmont Abbey placed third with 615, the Pfeiffer "B" team fourth with 620, and Chowan fifth with 649.
