COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The No. 6-ranked Columbus State men's tennis team edged No. 8 Lander, 5-4, Sunday in the Southeast Regional championships at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center.

Second-seeded Columbus, which earns a spot in the NCAA Division II Round of 16 next week in Altamonte Springs, Fla., improves to 20-5, while third-seeded Lander ends the season at 17-5.

In doubles, No. 1 Adam Jonsson/Oscar Axelsson (L) def. Marco Almorin/Adi Malicbegovic (C) 8-6; No. 2 Oussama Zoghlami/Danilo Sardelli (C) def. Marc Hofer/Niklas Terhorst (L) 9-8 (7-5); and No. 3 Vincent Verpeaux/Paulo Fernandes (L) def. Maciej Kierkus/Benedikt Wilde (C) 8-6.

In singles, No. 1 Oussama Zoghlami (C) def. Vincent Verpeaux (L) 7-6 (7-5), 6-3; No. 2 Marco Almorin (C) def. Marc Hofer (L) 6-2, 6-2; No. 3 Adi Malicbegovic (C def.
