GREENWOOD – The Lander men's golf team finished 15th of 17 teams Sunday in the two-day, three-round Bearcat Classic hosted by Lander at the par-72, 7,133-yard Patriot Golf Club. (Results)
Georgia College won the team title with a low 873 and was followed by: 2. Columbus State 881, 3. Montevallo 885, 4. Erskine 889, 5. Clayton State 892, 6. Mount Olive 895, 7. Newberry 896, 8. UNC Pembroke 900, 9. Coker 903, 10. Flagler 913, 11. Georgia Southwestern and King 914, 13. Young Harris 917, 14. Carson-Newman 920, 15. Lander 921, 16. Belmont Abbey 934, and 17. North Georgia 940.
Clayton State's Fredrik Lindblom (67-71-73) won medalist honors with a 5-over-par 211, while Georgia College's Bryan Fox (75-69-68) and Columbus State's Jack Stumpfig (72-69-71) tied for second at 212.
Individually for Lander, Rob Prior (78-72-72) tied for 17th at 222, Jordan Ainley (75-80-74) tied for 40th at 229, Neal Todd (81-76-78) tied for 64th at 235, and Carlos Solis (81-83-79) tied for 80th at 243.
