SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 2-ranked Armstrong Atlantic men's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and four singles Tuesday afternoon en route to a 6-3 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at Bacon Park.
Armstrong improves to 5-2 overall and 5-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 8-3, 4-1.
In singles, No. 1 Pedro Scocuglia (A) def. Vincent Verpeaux (L) 7-5, 6-3; No. 2 Jaan Kononov (A) def. Ristomatti Lanne (L) 4-6, 6-2, 6-0; No. 3 Pablo Gor (A) def. Adam Jonsson (L) 6-2, 6-4; No. 4 Ignacio Hernandez (A) def. Marc Hofer (L) 6-4, 4-6, 6-1; No. 5 Niklas Terhorst (L) def. Luca Cerin (A) 6-3, 6-3; and No. 6 Diego Zegarra (L) def. Damian Okrutny (A) 6-0, 6-4.
