Ashby's layup capped an 8-2 Jaguars run, pulling the visitors into a 41-all tie at the 12-minute mark.

But the Lady Bearcats went on another run, scoring 15 unanswered points. Armstrong broke the tie with a pair of free throws, Reynolds made a 3, McCray scored inside, Watkins rebounded a Reynolds missed 3-point attempt and hit a backwards layup, Watkins made one free throw and Armstrong rebounded her second attempt and scored, and Watkins made one of two free throws for a 56-41 Lander lead with 7:19 left.
