Box Score GREENWOOD – The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team rallied past Lander in the final minute Thursday night to claim a 79-76 Peach Belt Conference victory in Horne Arena.
GSW improves to 8-10 overall and 3-8 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 8-11, 3-7.
Lander placed four players in double figures, led by Ty'hesha Reynolds' 19 points and seven rebounds. Kayla West added 18 points, Portia McCray 14 points and Alyssia Watkins 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Hurricanes' Shanedra Lockett scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while Danisha Green added 17 points, Jasmine McSwain 13 points and Tiara Thompson 11 points.
Lander, which led at halftime, 38-35, connected on 29-of-26 field goals (43.9 percent), including 7-of-12 threes (58.3 percent) and 11-of-18 free throws (61.1 percent).
GSW, which outrebounded Lander, 51-41, made 29-of-73 shots from the floor (39.7 percent), including 4-of-16 from the three-point line (25 percent) and 17-of-28 from the foul line (60.7 percent).
