YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The seventh-ranked Lander men's tennis team defeated Young Harris College, 5-0, Saturday in a Peach Belt Conference match. The match was called when the Bearcats earned enough points for the win.

Lander improves to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the PBC, while Young Harris drops to 8-5, 3-5.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of August Iwdal/Adam Jonsson (L) def. Joan Valls/Guil Frias (YHC), 8-5; No. 2 Paul-Henri Arrigoni/Vincent Verpeaux (L) def. Gabriel Oliveira/Tom Gibaud (YHC), 8-0; and No. 3 Samuel Poutignat/Oscar Axelsson (L) def. Martin Harach/Brecht Vangrinsven (YHC), 8-1.

In singles, No. 4 Oscar Axelsson (L) def. Tom Gibaud (YHC), 6-4, 6-4; and No. 5 Diego Zegarra (L) def. Martin Harach (YHC), 6-1, 6-1.
