PEMBROKE, N.C. – Lander's Jordan McColl placed third overall Saturday and led the Bearcats men's golf team to third place of 12 teams at the UNCP/Campbell Oil Classic hosted by UNC Pembroke.
McColl shot rounds of 69-75-74 for a 2-over-par 218. UNCP's Michael Mullmann (69-71-74) took medalist honors with 214, while Wingate's Brian Denton (69-74-74) was second with 217.
The Bearcats' Greg McCullough (74-71-79) tied for eighth with 224, Robert Prior (74-81-74) tied for 21st with 229, Max Bell (81-79-75) tied for 35th with 235, and Tucker Nelson (79-86-78) tied for 52nd with 243.
UNC Pembroke won the team title with a low 894 and was followed by: 2. Wingate 897, 3. Lander 903, 4. Mount Olive 908, 5. Brevard and West Georgia 913, 7. Coker 923, 8. Catawba and Wake Tech 938, 10. Young Harris 941, 11. Post 947, and 12 Fayetteville State 1,037.
