FLORENCE - Lander's Precious Elkins and Aarika Judge both posted double-doubles Saturday afternoon, but the Lady Bearcats basketball team fell to Francis Marion, 69-50, in a Peach Belt Conference contest in the Smith University Center.

FMU improves to 10-9 overall and 4-8 in the PBC, while the Lady Bearcats move to 7-13, 4-9.

Elkins scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Judge added 10 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for the Lady Bearcats.

Francis Marion's Dee Gray led the Lady Patriots with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Kristen Dickerson added 13 points, Camille Dash 10 points and DeAsia Toney 12 assists.

Lander connected on 22-of-64 field goals (34.4 percent), including 2-of-17 threes (11.8 percent) and 4-of-7 free throws (57.1 percent).

FMU, which led 42-29 at halftime, was 27-of-69 from the floor (39.1 percent), including 3-of-11 threes (27.3 percent) and 12-of-17 foul shots (70.6 percent).

Lander outrebounded the Lady Patriots, 47-40.
