GREENWOOD – The No. 8-ranked Lander men's tennis team remained undefeated Friday when the Bearcats downed Coker College, 8-1, in a non-conference match at The Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves to 2-0, while Coker slips to 1-1.

In singles, No. 1 Paul-Henri Arrigoni (L) def. Andre Staab (CC), 6-1, 6-4; No. 2 Tom Sizeland (CC) def. Samuel Poutignat (L), 6-2, 6-0; No. 3 Vincent Verpeaux (L) def. William Marrafao (CC), 6-2, 6-0; No. 4 Adam Jonsson (L) def. George Handy (CC), 6-0, 6-1; No. 5 Oscar Axelsson (L) def. James Corfield (CC), 7-5, 6-1; and No. 6 August Iwdal (L) def. Martin Moncayo (CC), 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Iwdal/Jonsson (L) def. Handy/Staab (CC), 8-6; No. 2 Arrigoni/Verpeaux (L) def. Sizeland/Marrafao (CC), 8-1; and No. 3 Poutignat/Axelsson (L) def. Moncayo/Corfield (CC), 9-7.
