Box Score GREENWOOD - Freshman Kevin Durand netted three goals Tuesday night to lead the Lander men's soccer team to a 4-0 non-conference victory over Pfeiffer University in a rainy game at The Jeff May Complex.
Lander improves to 2-0 and is yet to allow a goal, while Pfeiffer drops to 0-3.
Durand scored his first goal at 6:04 on an assist from Matthew Bell for a 1-0 halftime lead.
Durand's second goal was unassisted from 10 yards out in front of the goal at 65:33, and his third came at 73:31 on another Bell assist.
Clement Dauchy, who scored two goals in Lander's season-opener against Newberry last Saturday, fired in his third goal of the season at 88:15 to give Lander a 4-0 advantage on Bell's third assist.
Lander outshot the Falcons, 13-7, and led in corner kicks, 7-2.
Lander goalkeeper Barrett Nielsen picked up two saves, while Pfeiffer's Zach Liles had one.
