GREENWOOD – North Greenville's Rebekah Mayes had 22 kills and 16 assists Tuesday night to lead the Crusaders' volleyball team to a 3-2 non-conference victory over Lander at Horne Arena. Game scores were: 15-25, 25-17, 15-25, 25-21, 15-12.

North Greenville improves to 5-5 overall, while Lander slips to 3-4.

Kaitlyn Harrison and Jessica Register posted double-doubles to lead the Bearcats. Harrison had 16 kills and 13 digs, while Register posted 45 assists and 15 digs. Tarryn Angermeier added 19 kills, Kiki Hennessey 20 digs and nine kills, Katelyn Kraft 10 assists, Sarah Bradley 17 digs and Madison Kubal 13 digs. Lander tallied 20 block assists led by Angermeier and Kaitlyn Peperone with five each and Register, Hennessey, and Hannah Dederick with three each.

North Greenville was led by Mayes, Abigail Frame (41 assists 10 digs), Samantha Del Toro (10 kills) and Megan Steading (17 digs). The Crusaders totaled 20 block assists and three solos.
