COLUMBUS, Ga. - The No. 10 Lander men's tennis team suffered only its second loss of the season Sunday afternoon when it fell to No. 9 Columbus State, 6-3, in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center.

Columbus State improves to 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 11-2, 2-1.

Samuel Poutignat (L), 6-2, 7-5; No. 4 Martin Shishkov (C) def. Oscar Axelsson (L), 6-3, 6-1; No. 5 Diego Zegarra (L) def. Oussama Zoghlami (C), 6-4, 6-3; and No. 6 Maxime Desmars (L) def. Danilo Sardelli (C), 7-5, 0-6, 11-9.

In doubles, No. 1 Shishkov/Simonet (C) def. Verpeaux/Johsson (L), 8-4; No. 2 Divljak/Rayniere (C) def. Ross Armstrong/Axelsson (L), 8-5; and No. 3 Michael Trebuhov/Adi Malicbegovic (C) def. Arrigonie/Poutignat (L), 8-6.
