POOLER, Ga. – The Lander men's golf team placed 12th of 13 teams today in the rain-shortened Armstrong Pirates Men's Golf Invitational held at the par-71, 6,897-yard Savannah Quarters Country Club.
Heavy rains on Monday shortened the 54-hole tournament to just 36 holes, and teams completed between 10 and 16 holes on Monday.
Georgia College won the team competition when it finished with a two-round, 6-over-par 574 total. The Bobcats were followed by: 2. UNC Pembroke 589, 3. Armstrong 591, 4. Wingate 601, 5. Clayton State and Belmont Abbey 604, 7. Flagler 606, 8. Eckerd 613, 9. Coker 614, 10. Lenoir-Rhyne 617, 11. North Georgia 620, 12. Lander 621, and 13. Mount Olive 624.
Individually for Lander, Tanner Robb finished tied for 10th with 148 (74-74), Jeffrey Moats tied for 39th with 154 (73-81), Tucker Nelson tied for 59th with 159 (81-78), Neal Todd tied for 65th with 161 (79-82), and Chad Siefert tied for 67th with 162 (81-81).
